The Chinese Type 90-II Armoured Recovery Vehicle

90-Ⅱ is a newly developed armoured recovery vehicle in China. It is mainly used for on-site rescue and repair of tanks and other combat vehicles that have lost their combat effectiveness due to siltation, combat injuries, failures, rollovers, etc. under field conditions. The vehicle can complete the following battlefield rescue tasks: replace turret assembly, power unit, transmission device, action and suspension device and other parts; perform repair operations such as electric welding, gas cutting and gas welding; transport a certain weight of spare parts and consumable materials; tow the rescued vehicle to the repair point before repairing; level the site, remove obstacles, build shelters and other bulldozing operations. This is an armored rescue tractor that integrates lifting heavy objects, towing and pulling vehicles, on-site maintenance, replacement of vehicle parts, bulldozing operations and short-distance transportation of parts. After rigorous trials and tests at home and abroad, the whole vehicle has fully met the requirements of combat technical indicators and has been recognized and praised by users. The main performance of the whole vehicle is at the leading level of domestic armored rescue tractors and has reached the international advanced level.

The 90-Ⅱ armoured recovery vehicle can achieve the following six functions.
1. Traction function
Towing the rescued vehicle to the repair point.
2. Rescue function
The fixed pulley can achieve a maximum towing force of 82 tons. Putting down the bulldozer can play the role of auxiliary support. The bulldozer still has good rigidity and strength when bearing 80 tons of support force.

Generator and gas cutting-gas welding equipment, as well as common electric tools and pliers equipped with the vehicle. Use the on-board electric welding equipment and gas cutting-gas welding equipment to repair damaged parts on site. Use the on-board repair tools to repair damaged tanks or other vehicles on site and complete the replacement of parts. Use the on-board refueling pump to refuel the vehicle or transfer various fuels from one vehicle to another. Use the 220-volt AC power supply of this vehicle to drive various portable electric tools for maintenance operations.
